Just off Highway 41, about 30 minutes north of Evansville, is Princeton. Princeton is the county seat of Gibson County. The courthouse is gorgeous. The courthouse square is nice and tidy. I noticed Gibson County offered audio tours of historical buildings and sights within the county. The courthouse is on the tour, as well, Lyles Station. Lyles Station was Indiana's first black settlement. In 1849, Joshua Lyles, a former slave from Tennessee, founded the community. Lyles Station is located a few minutes away from the courthouse.

I love to use gritty alleys to frame the courthouses. |

In many cases, limestone and brick were used to save money on construction costs. |

This just caught my eye. Also, in the shot, is an antique store. I think 75% of the courthouse squares I have visited, there is an antique shop. |
